You are watching: Why did noble 6 stay behind
What's the point in delaying the inevitable? Even if N6 did find a phantom, he would become a POW or would of been slaughtered by the Covenant.N6 knew that he was going to die. So, he went out all guns blazing as a lone wolf.
P38CLINKER Marine - Iron
ODST General Recruit - Gold
Its human nature to want to control our own fate even when its impossible, besides you mine as well take as many as you can with you.
I'm not trolling, but how hard would it have been for Bungie to explain that there is another Spartan out there and that Master Chief isn't the last of his kind? However, that would have opened up a possibility for a sequel.
Chief isn't the last of his kind. Most of blue team is stuck in Onyx , while Red team is lost in space (presumably), while we still don't know what happens to black team, grey team, and several other spartans. I feel that there will be some kind of Spartan IVs, due to the insurrection still being a problem to the UNSC, which spartans were originally meant to take down (i.e. Noble team's inital mission in A Fistful of Arrows. I know it's not technically canon, but i'm treating it like so. I'm no fan of how bungie tried to shoehorn in some 'emotion', but something like that really gives Noble team some character.
Maybe the Covenant had been following him since the PoA got away and when we take control they had finally cornered him. He didn't have any other choice but to fight.

Maybe Bungie knew they weren't going to be making any more Halo games and were forced by Microsoft to kill off all the new characters.
yea you gotta read the books if you want to know if MC is the only one left, most of blue team and halsey and a couple SIII are in Onyx. i just hope they find out how to get them out in this new trilogy :D
The surrounding area is devoid of humans, swarming with Covenant, and basically ruined. Covenant forces were also already closing in on his location. He honestly had nowhere to go, making a final stand the most viable option.
The covenant were probably hunting him down and finally surrounded him. Also, dont hate me for this but there is no definite proof that he is dead. If you look in your stats for lone wolf (and you havent played coop) it will say 0 deaths.
Well I guess he knew he was already going to die, so he went out like a Spartan. But I blame most of this on Emile, (No Offense, he's awesome.) If he had noticed and killed that elite earlier, he wouldn't have died, he would've blown up the supercarrier, and escaped along with Noble 6 and everyone else alive at that point. Noble 6 wouldn't have had to stay behind and do Emile's job, and then get killed. Emile still did go out like a Spartan also. A pretty badass guy.
Canon killed 6. Nothing more.Canon killed Noble Team. I just wish it had a chance to finish Jun off.
Our lives are not our own. We are bound to others, past and present, and by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.
He might have wanted to take as many covenant out as he could before he was killed. Like someone said before-

Really? All of these posts and not one about Six being a Spartan III and therefore having the massive adrenaline rush ("I think I got nicked, sir.") and being in the heat of the moment? Not angry or saying it's right, just curious as to why, as this was the first thing to pop into my head.
