Hey everyone-So I was streaming WWOZ on my phone via bluetooth to my car"s stereo this past Sunday. They were playing some reggae. I"m not normally a huge pure reggae fan, but I was enjoying these tunes. There was one song in particular that must be the song where 311 snagged the vocal riff for "All Mixed Up". Forgive me if I get the lyrics wrong, but it was something along the lines of "and now the sound is dying / woah oh oh / hey". Its the "woah oh oh / hey" line that 311 borrowed for their song.I tried to google the lyric, and kept coming up with a newer band called Dub Trio, who had the lyric "ring the alarm, not a sound is dying". They are kind of a metalish thing and definitely not what I was listening to.Any reggae fans care to help me out? Thanks!

I can"t believe I just listened to "all mixed up" trying to figure this out. Haven"t listened to that in forever, and I was just reminded why. ha ha!

very useful link for future reference, thanks! unfortunately I was streaming WWOZ at about 8pm, and it looks like there is no playlist listed during that time (there is 4-6 and then 10-12).

haha, yeah. i still have friends that are into 311, strangely. I feel like they jumped the shark a long time ago. Having said that, if you went to high school in the 90s, the first time you were in the presence of a marihuana cigarette, you were presented with a copy of 311"s Grassroots. Might"ve been the most widely popular CD around during my formative years, and I listened to it constantly when I was first turned on to it. It had its time and place. Anyway, I"m sure you found the part I"m talking about, but its right after the "keep me coming, that is the gal that"ll kill them stunning", then you get the "wohooh, hey" line I was talking about that they must have lifted from this reggae song.anywho thanks for the help guys, I"ll continue in my quest. It was a hot track.

Oh yeah, I hear you on the formative years thing, and I heard the part, but I couldn"t place it to anything I know.Anyhow, if you figure it out, don"t forget to post it on here, I"d like to hear what it was.BTW, good running into you over here
