SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

Firing order: 1 - 3 - 4 - 2The ignition timing is managed by the ECM to preserve the ideal air-fuel ratio for every running problem of theengine. The ignition timing data is stored in the ECM.

The ECM receives information such together the injection pulse width and camshaft place sensor (PHASE) signal.

Computing this information, ignition signals are transmitted to the power transistor.

During the adhering to conditions, the ignition time is revised by the ECM according to the other data save inthe ECM.

• at idle

• At short battery voltage

• during acceleration

The punch sensor retard mechanism is designed just for emergencies. The an easy ignition timing is programmedwithin the anti-knocking zone, if encourage fuel is offered under dried conditions. The retard device does not

operate under normal driving conditions. If engine knocking occurs, the hit sensor monitors the condition.
