I was told that my best front wheel bearing to be going poor last time I had my 2001 Mabeer-selection.comima in the shop. I"d prefer to change it myself. Can someone define the steps in instead of the wheel bearing? wondering if this is something I can do. I"m an mean DIY guy. Also, few of the threads suggest replacing the hub too. What is that and what would the measures be? Are any kind of special devices required?None of the company Manuals on this site seem to cover that. Any type of pictures or diagrams would certainly be a big help. I"m a visual person. Thanks in advance for her help.
Yes, friend do need special tools. The instructions are in the "Front and also Rear Abeer-selection.comle" section of the company manual. You can download the section complimentary from here: Knowledgebase - 2001 Mabeer-selection.comima - beer-selection.com.com Forums

Thanks for the manual. The was an extremely helpful (in convincing me ns wasn"t approximately the task). Taking it in tomorrow. One interesting note - once I took the wheel off, the wheel bearing lock nut was 2.5 turns shed !!! The wheel moved side come side fairly a bit! The dealer want $600 come replace. A local shop claimed $200 + parts. Going with the local shop - this need to be a pretty routine task. I"ll write-up my actual cost when I obtain the bill.
Had my local shop do the work today. $200 job (2 hours) + $200 components (bearing and hub). They did present me the parts and also the hub was worn - it actually fit into the bearing without being pressed. While i think $97/hour is a tiny high (for St. Louis), it to be cheaper 보다 the $600 quoted through the dealer. They had actually no idea why the locking seed came lose 2.5 turns due to the fact that January. Possibly the play in the failing bearing caused that. All fibeer-selection.comed. Thanks for all the help.
